There are two classes when you take the train in Bangladesh: "sardine can" and "rooftop". Whilst safety is a little compromised, riding on the roof offers two advantages: it doesn't stink of piss, and noone has stolen your seat.
As a part of my farewell activities in Bangladesh after living there for two years, I invited friends to have an "authentic" experience and ride on the roof of a train. We knew it was possible, as two French friends had done it the year before on the five-hour journey to Mymensingh. So how hard could it be to do the same on a local train to the town centre...
Ben de bu trene binmek istiyorummmmmm.
